JACKALOPE Montreal 2019
The project
This year JACKALOPE was at its 8th edition on the Esplanade of the Montreal Olympic Park. A signature event of Tribu Expérientiel that brings together thousands of extreme sports and lifestyle fans every year for professional demonstrations and high level competitions in four disciplines (skateboarding, fixed gear, climbing and Base jumping).
The experience
The 15,000 festival-goers who experienced JACKALOPE the weekend of August 16, 2019 got the chance to see
- World Cup Skateboarding competitions – Men and Women
- Three demonstrations of Base jump from the top of the Olympic stadium tower
- Climbing competitions
- Fixed gear crit
- Hip Hop and Punk Rock Concerts (Dead Obies, 88Glam and many others)
- VERT demo with Bob Burnquist, Elliot Sloan & friends
And also:
- A multitude of pop-up shops
- Food trucks
- Free activities (yoga, slackline, climbing initiations, relaxation zones, etc.)
The love and dedication of everyone involved in #JACKALOPEFEST has made many new hearts fall in love with extreme sports. An event that goes beyond just showing cool maneuvers, that brought the true essence of sport, the motivation and overcoming of beginner athletes to professionals.
