The project

JACKALOPE festival kicked off its first edition in the USA, making its way to Virginia Beach, VA.

For three straight days, JACKALOPE Virginia Beach gathers elite athletes to compete in skateboarding, skimboarding, bouldering and even BASE Jumping directly from the Hilton hotel, a record breaking spectacle.

JACKALOPE Virginia Beach was marked by the arrival of Chad Caruso, now a Guinness World Record holder for the fastest crossing of the USA by skateboard! His dedication and determination embodied the spirit of JACKALOPE and we’re honored to have been part of his incredible journey.

During JACKALOPE Virginia Beach, visitors can discover local brands by shopping at the popup shops and savouring the flavours of the coast in local restaurants. They can also experience the unique thrill of skydiving by taking part in a parachute jump where they land on the fine sands of Virginia Beach, or simply relax in Neptune’s Park with a good meal music.

The experience

For the 1st edition of the festival:

• VERT Showdown with Tony Hawk, Elliot Sloan, Bucky Lasek, Reese Nelson, Mitchie Brusco, Tom Schaar et Collin Graham
• Men’s/Women’s Skateboarding and GROMS competition on a custom skatepark created by California Skatepark
• Bouldering competition on a 100-foot wall installed on the sand
• BASE jumping: first legal jump from a building in the U.S.
• Skimboard competition
• FMX demonstrations
• Rollerskate competition
• Volleyball tournaments
• Pop-up shops, food trucks, DJ sets and much more
