TRIBU and the City of Virginia Beach are pleased to announce the first edition of the JACKALOPE VIRGINIA BEACH 2023 Festival.

Canada’s largest action sports festival is coming to the U.S. for the first time from June 2 to 4, 2023 in Virginia Beach. During these 3 days, JACKALOPE will bring together some of the best international athletes in skateboarding, bouldering, base jumping and skimboarding.

JACKALOPE is diversifying with a new decor and new experiences always more sensational. We explain it all just below!

With this operation, JACKALOPE by TRIBU becomes the only event of its kind to operate on both sides of the border.

VIRGINIA BEACH 2023 PROGRAMMING:

Skateboarding :

For this U.S edition, JACKALOPE will host its legendary street competition, men, women, youth, recognized by the Skateboarding World Cup.

JACKALOPE will be the occasion to admire Tony Hawk during a show on the evening of June 3rd in the gigantic 13 feet high vert. He will be accompanied by his legendary friends, Reese Nelson, Collin Graham, Elliot Sloan, Mitchie Brusco…

Furthermore, JACKALOPE will allow all skate fans to live one of their dreams, to skate on the same skatepark as these great athletes, during an open session with a pass that you can get here.

Bouldering :

JACKALOPE will allow you to come and admire internationally renowned climbers, and the difficulty of this discipline on the boulder set up along the Virginia Beach. You will have the chance to try bouldering with the purchase of the “citizen” pass.

BASE jumping :

JACKALOPE wants to mark the occasion by proposing the lowest Base Jump jumps ever done in JACKALOPE.

Whether you’re a base jumper fan or not, don’t miss these expert jump from the 200-foot Hilton Oceanfront Hotel. They will attempt to land in the center of a target set up on VIRGINIA BEACH.

Skydiving / IFly:

You will also have the opportunity to feel the sensations of flight and freefall thanks to our skydiving partner (Skydive Suffolk) or IFly, specialized in indoor freefall simulators.

Skimboarding:

Between experienced amateurs and true professionals of the discipline, JACKALOPE guarantees incredible tricks and perfect mastery of skimboarding on the waves of Virginia Beach during the competition.

FMX:

Want to witness breathtaking acrobatic performances? Then don’t miss Virginia Beach rider Zac Dipaolo, pushing the limits of gravity to put on a real show.

Pop Up Shops / Food Trucks:

This festival is not limited to sports performances. In fact, it will be a real village where it will be possible to find a set of pop up shops for shopping and food trucks to satisfy your taste buds!

Arrival of Chad Caruso:

From Venice Beach to Virginia Beach, Chad Caruso is riding over 3000 miles of skateboarding across the United States to JACKALOPE !

The skateboarder from Long Island (New York) explains his great journey and asks for everyone’s help in order to raise as much money as possible for the association Natural High, an organization that raises awareness against drug addiction among young people.

JACKALOPE Virginia Beach is supported by  iFly VA Beach, Coastal Edge, Gel Blaster, Irish Apple, Chesapeake Bay Distillery and Twisted tea. Competitions are sanctioned by p1440, Send It Climbing Gym, Skim USA and World Cup Skateboarding. The event is an invitation of  Virginia Beach and an initiative of TRIBU.
