Snowmobile Freestyle Takes Over Winterlude 2026

The Project

As part of Ottawa’s iconic winter celebrations, BARBEGAZI Ottawa 2026 transformed the city’s downtown core into a high-energy snowmobile freestyle playground.

Partnering within the framework of Winterlude in Ottawa, BARBEGAZI delivered a crazy showcase of elite snowmobile athletes performing gravity-defying tricks in an urban winter setting.

The result?
A dense, high-energy crowd gathered throughout the show blocks, with spectators even making their way to nearby outdoor parking areas to secure the best possible vantage point.

What started as a programmed showcase quickly became a destination moment, amplified further by strong digital momentum across platforms.

The Experience

BARBEGAZI is not just a demo: it’s a turnkey winter sports spectacle designed to:

Animate public spaces in peak winter season
Attract families, youth and action sports fans
Elevate a destination’s programming with premium freestyle production
Generate strong visual and media value

The snowmobile freestyle show created a focal point within Winterlude’s programming, reinforcing Ottawa’s positioning as a dynamic, winter-forward capital city.

The Impact

Bringing the World’s Best to Moncton

BARBEGAZI Ottawa featured elite snowmobile freestyle athletes who had just competed at the X Games in Aspen.

Among them:

Rasmus Johansson (Sweden), who traveled internationally specifically for the event
Daniel Schaffer (CAN)
Chris Coosemans (USA)

In a discipline with fewer than 20 active professional riders worldwide, securing this level of talent underscores the exclusivity and caliber of the activation.

The showcase was hosted by FMX freestyle veteran Christian Martinez, whose presence elevated audience engagement and reinforced the event’s credibility within the global freestyle community.

Digital Impact That Scaled Globally

Beyond the event, BARBEGAZI Ottawa delivered exceptional online reach for an activation of this scale:

1.4M+ views on Instagram
119K+ views on Facebook
Strong engagement across short-form video content
High shareability driven by aerial tricks and crowd reactions

This level of exposure significantly amplified the event beyond its geographic footprint, positioning Ottawa as a winter action sports hub across social platforms, and various medias.

A Platform Built for Cities & Sponsors

BARBEGAZI offers host cities:

A ready-to-deploy winter spectacle
High visual impact for tourism marketing
Strong cross-platform content opportunities
Youth and family audience appeal
Scalable branding integrations

The Ottawa edition demonstrated how the concept integrates seamlessly into established winter festivals while elevating their adrenaline factor.

Indicators such as crowd density, social amplification and public response already confirm BARBEGAZI Ottawa 2026 as a high-performing winter urban activation.

See you in 2027, Ottawa!
