For nearly 15 years, TRIBU has been a Montreal-based agency specializing in integrated experience creation, event production, and content creation & amplification. Our mission is to create connections inspired by passion. We are looking for a Director of Partnerships to strengthen our sales team with their energy, independence, and ability to build new business relationships.
POSITION OVERVIEW
As Director of Partnerships, you will be a key driver of growth for our brands—APIK, BARBEGAZI & JACKALOPE—primarily responsible for sourcing and developing integrated partnerships (experiential, sponsorship, content, and media placement) across Canada, the U.S., and internationally. You will play a central role in TRIBU’s growth by building and maintaining strong business relationships.
You will lead a team consisting of a Partnerships Manager and two Partnership Coordinators, with the possibility of expanding the team in the future.
In this role, you will be responsible for implementing TRIBU’s vision and strategic planning, establishing a coherent sales strategy, fostering the professional development of your team, and ensuring consistent growth based on ambitious targets. You will also manage external collaborators in key strategic markets.
This position requires strong organizational skills, proven experience in integrated partnership sales, an established network, and a deep understanding of action sports.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1-Growth Strategy
-Define and implement a business development strategy
-Prepare annual forecasts and present sales reports
-Identify and reach out to new potential clients
-Design, negotiate, and close partnership agreements, and oversee follow-up
-Build and nurture strong business relationships
2-Leadership & Team Management
-Set team sales objectives and ensure they are achieved
-Train, supervise, and grow a sales team focused on international expansion
-Recruit and manage freelance collaborators in specific markets
3-Optimization & Agility
-Evolve within a fast-growing, dynamic company
-Anticipate change and adapt accordingly
-Continuously improve sales processes and tools
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
-5 to 10 years of experience in sponsorship and partnership sales
-Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, management, or a related field
-Proficiency in Google Drive suite; fluency in both French and English
-Background in marketing, event production, or customer service is a plus
