The project

APIK is a FREE urban event from March 1st to 3rd, 2024, in the heart of Montreal for adrenaline enthusiasts in the Quartier Latin (Saint-Denis Street corner Sherbrooke Street / Ontario Street).

It’s an opportunity for festival-goers to witness an exciting ski and snowboard competition, to shop in the partner village, to make the most of exclusive offers, or to get carried away by the beats of our DJs!

All this in a family-friendly and festive atmosphere.

The Experience

As of Friday night, APIK offered an exhilarating experience to festival-goers, starting with a friendly snowskate ‘best trick’ competition featuring talented Ambition Snowskates athletes.

On Saturday, the crowd was invited to a snowskate initiation session led by Ambition Snowskates’ expert coaches. Next up was the snowboard competition including Olympic athlete Sebastien Toutant as head judge on the panel.

Finally, to close up the weekend, the ski competition sped up the pace on Sunday. During APIK, we ensure that every moment is filled with excitement and exhilaration for our participants.

«

You take passionate skiers who have to express themselves by giving the best of what they’re capable of, right in the streets of Montreal, and you get the wild second edition of APIK! I can’t believe it, it was insane!

Eighty-nine ski and snowboard athletes competed to win a total cash prize of $25,000, evenly split between men and women. This all took place on an exceptional 26-foot high, 275-foot long course designed by Today’s Park. A thrilling weekend filled with adrenaline!

The event, produced by the Quartier des Spectacles Partnership, is an original idea by TRIBU and made possible thanks to the Action Sports Association (ASA) and the financial support of the Ville-Marie borough, Tourisme Montréal, and the Government of Quebec, with the collaboration of the SDC Quartier latin and the City of Montreal. APIK also relies on the support of White Claw, Fireball, and Shop Santé.
