The project

The first edition of JACKALOPE MISSISSAUGA presented by Samsung Galaxy was a resounding success, attracting over 60,000 spectators who descended upon Celebration Square and Square One Shopping Centre to be wowed by 200+ talented international athletes.

Audiences were treated to extraordinary performances by young talents, showcasing jaw-dropping tricks and dedication to their sport, contributing to a dynamic and adrenaline-fueled atmosphere throughout the event.

Some highlights from the weekend include

  • For the first time ever in Canadian history, audiences witnessed the exceptional skateboard trick called the 900 – 2½-revolution (900 degrees) aerial spin performed on a skateboard ramp – by 9 year-old Ema Kawakami from Japan and 9 year-old Mia K from Australia.
  • The crowning of the Canadian breaking champions, B-Boy ILLZ and B-Girl KONATSU leaves a lasting impression after displaying excellence and passion.
  • BASE Jumpers jumped from a 300-foot crane, landing on a target – a unique and thrilling stunt performed for the first time in Canada.
