The Project
JACKALOPE Virginia Beach fueled by Monster Energy is a high-energy, 3-day community event that transformed the city’s boardwalk into a world-class competitive arena, marking the official 4th edition of the event in the city.
By installing a massive custom 13.5 ft Vert ramp and a custom-built, pirate-ship-themed skatepark directly on the beach, TRIBU aimed to cement Virginia Beach’s position as a premier global hub for action sports while creating a free, accessible stadium environment for the community.
The project united 600 athletes from 11 countries competing across 6 elite competitions. Headliners included four-time champion JD Sanchez, Argentinian powerhouse Matias Dell Olio, and Japan’s Juno Matsuoka. True to TRIBU’s values of equality, athletes competed for a $50,000 cash prize purse split equally between male and female riders, while accumulating crucial points toward the overall season standings.
